By reading these poetic words imprinted on the work “ L’albero del Poeta” begins the tour inside the Oil Museum of the Sabina Region.
Accompanied by the museum storytellers you'd have the chance to be amazed and get surprised for an unusual story and by the dialogue that will arise and will make you the protagonists.
The museum celebrates the ancient civilization of the olive oil through the expressions of our time:
the union between contemporary art and tradition will open the doors of an imaginary world, made of lights, poems, pictures and sounds.
The visit will continue in the evocative atmosphere of the medieval village of Castelnuovo di Farfa, an integral part of the museum complex.
On the facades you can discover a work of pottery: a drupe oil with a gold core, the museum's logo, emblem of the indissoluble renewed ties between the country, the people and the gold of this land: the oil.
The route whenever possible, culminating in the beautiful medieval church of San Donato, "A chorus of light among the olive trees in bloom" as he called an illustrious conservative architect of France, in listening to a song celebrating the oil as a source of sacredness.
