The varying landscape of the Sabina Montana offers innumerable opportunities for a wealth of excursions: Monte Tancia, Monte Pizzuto, Monte Ode, Valle Ferrara are some of the possible destinations. With a good map or following an expert guide it is possible to reach Umbria.

Hiking, cycling or horseback, it doesn’t matter how, as far as one can discover new routes that open up on new sceneries and surprising views.

The most challenging is the path that leads through the Valle Gemini and up the sides of Monte Pizzuto to its highest peak, from where one can enjoy a complete view of all of Sabina and, on clear days, all the way to the sea. Another fascinating excursion is to the Prati di Cottanello, where horses, cows, pigs and sheep graze in total freedom. It is possible to follow numerous paths that meander through woods and pastures. From Cottanello, following a path, it is possible to reach the Cappelletta di San Francesco, not far from Greccio, where San Francesco built the Sanctuary where he recreated the scene of the birth of our Lord.

For the daredevils, the mountain offer many rock faces for free climbing.
