Sabina Tiberina

Sabina Farfense gravitates around the Abbey of Farfa. Its principal characteristic if the large olive groves that abound in the area, they are much more prevalent than in the rest of Sabina. Not by chance the Museo dell'Olio is located at Castelnuovo di Farfa. Another characteristic of the area is the Farfa Gorge, a canyon formed by the Farfa Torrent's slow erosive action , which has created a unique and marvellous habitat.

Sabina Montana

Sabina Tiberina derives its name from the Tiber River that has shaped its particular habitat. The Tiber passes through the Riserva Naturale Tevere Farfa, a unique location. Within this area is situated Poggio Mirteto, considered the main centre of the Sabina. It is the See of the Suburbican Diocese of Sabina Poggio Mirteto with its Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and location for some of the most historical festival events of the region like the Carnevalone Poggiano and the Carnevalone Liberato.    

It is the hilliest part of Sabina. It principal characteristic is the precedence of many very small hamlets, the best know is Casperia; which has often been described as one of Italy's most beautiful villages. Each borough was once a fortress and the villages of Catino and Rocchette still have an alluring feel to them. It also has one of Sabina's most important monuments; the Sanctuary of Vescovio that had an important role even during the Roman Empire. The Sabina Montana if also adventure and excursion with paths that lead to the highest peaks so as to enjoy magnificent vast view of the region.
