How to get to the Sabina
getting to the Sabina is easier than you think: either by plane, by train, by car or on foot
From Fiumicino airport
Fiumicino is the closest airport to the Sabina and it is directly connected to the train line. The main train stations in the Sabina are Fara Sabina (Passo Corese), Poggio Mirteto and Gavignano Sabino. The trains leading to Fara Sabina leave every 15 minutes (last stop Fara Sabina) and the trains leading to Poggio Mirteto or Gavignano Sabino leave every 30 minutes (last stop Orte). From Ciampino airport
Most low-cost airline companies land in Ciampino airport. It may seem more convenient but it is not actually well connected to Rome. To get to the Sabina take the bus to Roma Termini Station (about 60 minutes) and then the ''Metro B'' tube line towards Rebibbia to Tiburtina railway station (4 stops). From there take the train to Fara Sabina or Orte. The trains leading to Fara Sabina leave every 15 minutes (last stop Fara Sabina) and the trains leading to Poggio Mirteto or Gavignano Sabino leave every 30 minutes (last stop Orte). From Tiburtina railway station in Rome
The Tiburtina Railway Station is the main train station leading to the Sabina: towards Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto and Gavignano Sabino. The trains leading to Fara Sabina leave every 15 minutes (last stop Fara Sabina) and the trains leading to Poggio Mirteto or Gavignano Sabino leave every 30 minutes (last stop Orte).
From Roma Termini railway station
Termini railway station is Rome's central station from where you can reach any destination in Italy and in some foreign countries. From Roma Termini station take the ''Metro B'' towards Rebibbia and get off at Roma Tiburtina (4 stops) in order to get the train that will take you to the Sabina. From there take the train to Fara Sabina or Orte, as described above.
From Rome
A1 Roma-Firenze and exit at Fiano Romano. Follow the directions to Fara Sabina (Passo Corese), only a few kilometres away. From there follow directions to get to your chosen destination.

A1 Orte-Roma, exit at Ponzano Soratte and follow directions to Stimigliano-Scalo. From there follow directions to get to your chosen destination.

From Rieti
Take the Via Salaria (SS4) towards Rome leading to Osteria Nuova and then take the SP46 towards Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto
