Follow us on this journey to discover the varied local food production which is characterized by a large number of traditional products, first of which the Sabina Oil DOP. There are also many cheeses such as pecorino, ricotta, Caciomagno (Lazio Region excellence of  Expo2015), meat and wine. Begin exploring this extensive journey from different routes. One of these is the Oil Route, allowing you to enjoy one of the most precious oils in the world since the Roman times immersing yourself in the Sabine olive groves. On the Dairy route you can enjoy unique flavours of Sabine cheeses such as Caciomagno which was produced for the first time 1200 years ago !!! On the Land route  find different varieties of meat and cold cuts; the most popular are wild boar and Chianina beef.  You may also taste may kinds of savory and sweet baked goods that are still made in the traditional ovens, fruit jams and preserves, honey, organic vegetables and mushrooms. Sabine wines and vineyards are experiencing a new renaissance thanks to many local winemakers. Some of the wines produced in the Sabine are: Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Cabernet, Alicante, Carignano, Falanghina Sauvignon, Malvasia and liqueurs like Genziana and the Amaro of Poggio Mirteto.
